Vincent Angarita’s Baptism
Taking my photography skills to another level: Children Photography….On Saturday at the 11th day of February of the year 2012 I had the great honor and pleasure to be in charge of capturing one of the most important moments of a catholic family: The Baptism.
The Sacrament of Baptism is often called “The door of the Church,” because it is the first of the seven sacraments not only in time (since most Catholics receive it as infants) but in priority, since the reception of the other sacraments depends on it. It is the first of the three Sacraments of Initiation; the other two being the Sacrament of Confirmation and the Sacrament of Holy Communion.
Once baptized, a person becomes a member of the Church, therefore, this was a day for celebration at the Angarita’s home since their newest member: Vincent, was receiving this Holy Sacrament and joining the family’s faith.
Children Photography, from the photographer point of view, requieres a different set of mind since their movements are quick, unpredictable and children get easily tired when pressured to pose. However nothing is more natural and appealing than a child’s smile and curious candid eyes.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and photography sessions could be exhausting therefore Vincent’s big day started with a delicious bottle of formula …
After a good meal, is time to get ready for the grand event. Nothing says innocence better than white and Vincent was representing it in a very cuate fashion with an elegant white baby tux…

The ceremony was performed at the beautiful St. Andrew Catholic Church located at 311 N. Raymond Avenue Pasadena CA 91103
After the ceremony, Vincent’s parent Robert & Flora Angarita celebrated such of memorable event with a toast / diner held at Malbec Cuisine, one of the best restuarants for Argentinean food located at 1001 E Green St. Pasadena, CA 91106
