Every event has its unique story, My first Greek Wedding Photography of Angelica & Trevor Kroesch was not the exception. Their ordeal started when their close friend and photographer, scheduled to capture their nuptials, had a medical emergency that put him in a hospital. Eventually they found another photographer but, against all odds, this photographer also had an unexpected family emergency and, 2 days before the grand day, he called to inform he was not able to be at the event. Angelica started a search for a replacement, my friend Kristine Ko of KK Creative Studios was booked already but she kindly refer Angelica to me.
On August 18, 2012, I walked to this event without knowing the groom, bride nor any of the bridal party… It was very unusual for me, since I always like to chat and get to know my clients prior to the event….Because everything was scheduled so quickly, I had not much information to go from, except the place where the bride will be getting ready.
After a quick introductions, my assistant, 2nd shooter and I started to capture this unforgettable day for Angelica & Trevor Kroesch.
Bride preparations started at the prestigious WESTIN Located at 191 North Los Robles. Pasadena, CA 91101. (By the way, the original room had a flood, we were relocated to the spa… a very challenging location due to its background and lighting… we love challenges thou )
The couple is crowned with stefana, wreaths that are linked together by a white ribbon to symbolize unity and that the couple now rules their own kingdom — you really are a queen for the day! The couple is now officially wed.
The priest blesses the rings three times. Then the Koumbaro or Koumbara exchanges rings that are placed on the bride and groom’s right ring fingers.
The bride and groom sip wine from a common cup and the newly married pair walks around the sacrament table, or altar, three times — their first steps as a married couple. The priest leads, holding the bible to symbolize their commitment to God
Now some formal poses with the bridal party + family members
May God always bless this union providing a path of infinite happiness and prosperity
What better place for a reception of this magnitud than the awesome NOOR Restaurant & Ballroom, Chosen Pasadena Weekly’s Best Wedding Location & Banquet Hall for 2011. 260 East Colorado Boulevard Pasadena, CA 91101
After Angelica & Trevor have went through many bumps into preparing for their wedding, . I was just so ecstatic that everything went well and now celebrating.
Everybody was having fun …
CONGRATULATIONS!!!

From my perspective, there’s no difference, except in size, between a wedding with 300 guests and one with just 40… after all, it’s the GRAND day for the couple getting married plus it’s my job, as wedding photographer, to capture and preserve every moment of it.
Such is the case when I was asked by Bibiana & Martin Romero to be their wedding photographer. They have been together for more than 10 years, a series of events have prevented them from getting married as they had planned, from their union, two precious daughters are the proof of unlimited love and care for each other as well as a unparalleled devotion for Christianity and love to God.
On June16, 2012; preparations started at their home with makeup by the amazing make up artist Karla Moncado
The event, very intimate but filled with joy , took place in Bibiana’s parents house and was officiated by Pastor Nick Gonzalez of treasured Ceremonies
The gathering was very intimate, close family members and friends were present to celebrate and wish the couple a lifetime of happiness
CONGRATULATIONS… wishing them a lifetime of blessings, prosperity and love. Click HERE to see all the images and enjoy a short slideshow with the highlights of the event.
The Big Day – A, sort of related to the weddingphotography industry Kickstarter Project for which I am a proud “Backer”. Why? Because not only I found it very interesting but also because I’ve always been a Movie-A-Holic inclined to foreign, independent, short productions.
Here is a direct copy from the project itself and, as usual, a video which explains more in detail. Hope you become a supporter or better known as “Backer”…

We are seeking funding for a feature film that revolves around a wedding night gone awry. When a group of High School friends now in their late twenties gather and reconnect at a wedding, old flames rekindle, old secrets resurface and new secrets are made. These friends come together and fall apart, but will the friendships survive the night? Will the marriage?
There is a shift happening in Hollywood, and micro budget pictures such as this are beginning to be noticed, watched, purchased, rented, streamed and talked about. There is a paradigm shift happening in which a film can be just as successful premiering on the iTunes store as in a theater. We want to be a part of the first wave of that change, and we want you to join us in being a part of it.
This feature film is based on a dramatic improv created by Erin Cardillo at Warner Loughlin Studios. The film will be shot in it’s entirety over the course of three days. We will be following a strict story outline, but all of the dialogue will be improvised during the shooting of the film. We are planning for a scheduled shoot at the end of April through early May and will be finishing the film in time for the major film festival deadlines in the fall.
Your pledge will be going toward paying crew, renting a location, renting lights and cameras and feeding everyone, as well as editing the film and hiring a sales agent to help us gain exposure. Everyone will be working for free or next to nothing, so know that we are investing our time and crew and equipment from our favor bank to match the backing that we receive here.
$15,000 is the bare minimum needed to create this project, and should we be lucky enough to exceed our goal, the money would go toward better post-production and more publicity for the exhibition and distribution of the film. Thank you so much for your time, your money and your good energy. If you like the project and want to pledge, please check out our unique incentives and perks from the list.
Alhambra Wedding Photography: Karen & Alan Lau Engagement Mini-Session
They say: 1 in 5 relationships starts online and Karen & Alan Lau are part of this equation… A successful Match.com story from the first date until now…I had a great time hanging out and capturing how these two are together.
Karen and Alan are a couple living in Alhambra and with whom I’ve been talking about the preparations for their upcoming wedding, engagement sessions, wedding photography, etc. We share a common interest: we like the theater and specially the famous “Phantom of the Opera“. They are super nice couple and invited us to watch the show at the Venetian Las Vegas, NV so I thought would be a good opportunity to capture some images on the way as part of their upcoming, more elaborated engagement session which will pave the road for their grand day coming up next year but there’s no reason not to show these images from this great couple.
Alhambra Wedding Photography: Cristina & Andy Save The Date
A save the date is a notice stating the date of a significant event such as a wedding. It is typically sent to those likely to be interested or affected by the event and states the planned date of the occasion so that recipients who wish to attend know to keep that date free. Whilst some people choose to send a save the date notice, other couples might just advise friends and family verbally.
Cristina & Andy were looking for a local photographer in the city of Alhambra, San Gabriel Valley, by using Google as their search engine and using “Alhambra Wedding Photographers” as their keyword they found me among other great local photographers in the area. I must confess I was nervous since it was the first time someone contacted me without being a referral from one of my previous photo events. I was very excited to meet them at the local Starbucks where I showed them samples of my work using some prints, images from my trusted iPad plus sample albums from my favorite: Artifex Frames & Albums and Kiss Wedding Books.
Cristina & Andy are a very smart down to Earth couple, their love and affection for each other is easily noticeable and they are full of energy plus great attention to details. They are the type of people not easily convinced since they do their homework throughly by looking infinite samples, knowing exactly what they want and infinite passion for DIY….Therefore it was totally flattering to hear I was chosen to be their photographer for such of memorable event in their lives.
On 18 September 2011 we went to their favorite place: “The Arboretum” of Arcadia to capture the images they will be using for their “Save The Date” invitations. We had an awesome time full great images and laughs, can’t wait for their wedding day to capture even more memorable moments in timeless images like these:
One thing I like about Vietnamese Wedding Photography is the rich colors, contagious joy and absolutely delicious food.
On May 29, 2011 I had the pleasure of being responsible to capture the memorable moments Yến Phạm & Cường Lý traditional Vietnamese Wedding. Because their event was kept to a very selected group of close friends and family members, it was a total honor for me to being chosen as their wedding photographer.
Traditional Vietnamese Wedding Photography requieres a different approach, guest are greeted, upon arrival, by the couple and a photograph must be taken, printed and given at their departure.
The reception took place at the popular 888 Seafood Restaurant located at 8450 E Valley Blvd Ste 121 Rosemead, CA 91770.
Immediate family, Relatives and friends expressed their best wishes for a long lasting and prosperous life together as a couple. Some travel from Arizona, Texas and Florida exclusively to be present and celebrate along with Yến Phạm & Cường Lý
Even the children had fun
And Karaoke singing is always a essential part of the Vietnamese Wedding celebration or any other major gathering where some of the guests delighted all the present with their melodic voices…
